A Guide's Perspective
My interest in nature developed early in my life as I was growing up on a farm in Indiana . My father taught me the names of the trees, and my grandmother introduced me to the wildflowers of the forest. As an adult I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. , hiking many beautiful mountains, canoeing pristine rivers, and camping in some of the most majestic areas in this country, both East and West. The experiences gained from my many journeys have become a permanent part of who I am as a person – influencing my values and guiding my choices in life. For a long time I have dreamed of leading kids into some of these very same areas I have so much enjoyed. When Chris and Lyn Kimberly asked me if I would like to be a member of this unique and exciting program American Wanderer - RV Camp for Kids I was overcome with joy and excitement. This is exactly what I have been looking for – to combine my passion and expertise for outdoor adventure with my love of working with kids. Surely, this program has every possibility of being a “life-changing” experience for any person who chooses to attend this summer camp.

Dear Chris,Lyn,guides and campers,
My excitement for this trip is a combination of unleashed energy and rattling nerves. The fact that our son is having this opportunity leaves me speechless! I have always believed that "sometimes when opportunity knocks, you just need to grab it and go!" This is one of those rare jewels in life.
With great gratitude I thank the Kimberly's for their vision, leadership and total sense of adventure. I can't wait for this awesome exploration of our country's great natural wonders to unfold.
Best wishes, enjoy, and travel safely in God's care. Big sky country here they come!!!
