Camp July 27th

Dinosaur National Park
After breakfast with a box lunch in tow we drove to the Colorado Entrance to spend a day exploring and hiking in "Canyon Country".  We took a "Journey Through Time" and  spent the morning traveling the  Harpers Corner Scenic Drive stopping at many lookouts ending at the Harpers Corner Trail.

We ate lunch and hiked out to the end to see where the Yampa and Green Rivers meet.

We encountered a rain storm and drove back to the Split Mountain area and swam and floated the Green River. A mule deer came to check us out and then swam across the river to find a nice spot to bed down for the night. We drove back to camp for dinner and movie night. Shhh. . don't tell but we're planning a surprise Birthday Celebration for Collette tomorrow in Arches National Park with cake, ice cream and party goodies.
